Common Questions

Summer Program FAQs

Who develops and teaches this program?

KCEE has over 30 years of experience in private education. Lessons are designed in-house by owners with extensive experience teaching the Ontario curriculum. Teachers identify where students lose marks, strengthen fundamentals and build the consistency needed for high performance.

How are students grouped?

Students are grouped in small classes according to their upcoming grade or course level and academic needs. Contact KCEE so we can recommend a suitable class.

How is the program different from traditional tutoring?

This is a structured learn-ahead program. Instead of responding only after difficulties arise, students build foundations and study selected concepts from the coming school year.

Do teachers help with schoolwork?

Teachers can support relevant questions, but the summer program’s main purpose is to strengthen understanding and prepare students for their upcoming grade or course.

Is the program suitable for students who already do well?

Yes. Strong students can refine their understanding, improve accuracy and become comfortable with more advanced questions before school begins.

Can a student join after the program starts?

Students may be able to join an ongoing class when space and a suitable group are available. Contact KCEE to discuss the student’s needs and timing.

What happens after the five-week summer program?

KCEE takes a short summer break after the Advanced Study Program (ASP). Regular weekly enrichment classes resume at the end of August so students can continue building on what they learned ahead.

What if the schedule does not work?

We will do our best to accommodate requests depending on availability. Please message or email KCEE to discuss possible options.

What happens if a student misses a class?

Prior notice is required. Because lessons follow a structured progression, KCEE schedules a make-up class to help the student stay on track.

Does KCEE offer a trial class?

KCEE does not offer trial classes because each lesson builds on previous learning and one class would not represent the full program experience.

Does KCEE offer loyalty, sibling or referral discounts?

KCEE does not offer discounts. Maintaining a consistent fee structure supports fairness and consistent program quality for all students.
